ur experience has been that most homeowners have little or no knowledge of the remodeling process.  For many, it's the first time they are considering a home renovation project and they simply don't know where to begin.  They also have questions about the order of events and what to expect once the project begins.

 

That's where we can help.  We educate our new customers on the entire remodeling process from initial contact to project completion.  We answer the who, what, when, where, why, and how questions to keep you completely informed and the project flowing smoothly.

You Contact Us

  • You contact us, we respond.
  • Meeting is scheduled.

 

Initial Meeting

  • Your project is discussed.
  • Measurements are taken.
  • No verbal quotes.

 

 

Project Cost Estimate

  • Depending on the complexity of the project and our estimate backlog,  a written estimate is generated in as little as two (2) days or could take several weeks to prepare.
  • Visits by a licensed electrician and plumber may be necessary.  Also, if the project involves structural work, a report from a Certified Structural Engineer or Architect is required.
  • No verbal estimates.
  • If you accept our estimate, then the process continues.  If you do not accept our estimate, then the process ends here.

 

Contract

  • New Jersey Contractor Law mandates a written contract for all residential work in excess of $500.00.
  • For residential projects, we prepare and deliver a straight-forward, "Residential Improvement Contract", written in plain language.  A payment of 5% of the total contract cost is required as consideration at contract signing.  The schedule of remaining payments are clearly defined in the contract.
  • The contract includes the description and location of the project, the agreed upon cost of the project, the payment schedule, the start date and expected date of completion, terms and conditions, materials, and the mandatory 3 day opt out clause required by the State of New Jersey.

 

Fixtures / Material Purchases

  • If your project requires fixtures, tile, or any other items that require your approval, then the shopping phase begins now.
  • You may purchase your items from any source - internet, stores, etc.
  • If you desire, we can introduce you to dedicated professionals in local showrooms that will help you make informed decisions - free of charge.

 

Insurance

  • You will receive proof of our insurance, listing you as holder, prior to the start of the project.

 

Permits

  • If your project requires permits, then we gather necessary documents.
  • We file the construction permit application with your local building dept.

 

Construction

  • Your final plan is constructed to exact specifications.
  • We schedule all of the required inspections.

 

Completion / Warranty

  • The completed project is reviewed with you to ensure your total satisfaction. 
  • Our 24 month written warranty is issued for the completed work.
