ABOUT THIS PROJECT..

The 2nd floor location in a busy shopping center, combined with active professional offices adjacent to the work area, were significant workload factors with this project. 

 

Demolition occured at night in consideration of the surrounding professionals and nearly 90 yards of debris had to be hand-carried down two flights of stairs and loaded into dumpsters in a busy parking lot.

STOREFRONT MODIFICATION

 

Barbershop in busy shopping center wanted to create more visibility into the establishment.  Existing window and through-the-wall air conditioner removed; framing modified to accept new, larger window.

EXTERIOR RESTORATION

BEFORE - Weathered store front with moldy roof shingles, rotted columns, soffit issues, non-funtioning and rusted recessed lighting, broken glass in dormers.

AFTER - Completely restored and painted.  Current home to Kate Spade NEW YORK.

OFFICE RENOVATION

ARCHITECTURAL PLANS by MICHELS & WALDRON ASSOCIATES, LLC.  Several offices constructed.  Area in red on the plans (above) is represented in the photo to the right.

Active office by-day.  Construction limited to evening hours.

BLOWN-IN ATTIC INSULATION

Blown-in cellulose insulation:  Scope of work - six (6) apartment buildings shown totaling 7,400 square feet of attic space.  R value = 38.  Numerous other buildings (not shown) were insulated in the same complex over a 4-year span.

EXTERIOR PAINT WORK

RETAIL SHOPPING CENTER (above) - Scope of work represented in yellow.  Canopy over open promenade required paint work.  Work Area - 4,205 sq. ft.

AFTER - Scraped, spackled, primed and painted.  Light lenses removed and cleaned.  Fluorescent lights serviced with new ballasts, where needed, and all bulbs relplaced.

NIGHT WORK AFTER 10PM when all retail stores closed.

RETAIL FIT UP

 

 

The Little Gym of Caldwell Built to franchisor specifications, including 5 partition windows, interior doors, and paint colors.  Party room kitchen is IKEA.  All installations by The Renovation Company.
